Case Study: Hawaiʻi Climate Advisory Team

The Hawaiʻi Climate Advisory Team (CAT) was convened by Governor Josh Green, M.D. to develop community-informed policy recommendations to drive disaster resilience and response policies for the 2025 legislative session. Paʻakai acted as a thought partner in developing a holistic approach to communications strategy and providing full service execution to increase public awareness and advance the CAT's legislative agenda. Paʻakai's work included:

  • Advocacy coordination including legislative bill tracking and drafting 32 written testimonies

  • Digital communications management including website, e-newsletter, and paid social media campaigns resulting in 6K+ website visits, 647K+ video views, and 482K+ ad impressions

  • Organizing stakeholder engagement through virtual meetings and digital comment forms that engaged 200+ community members
